We look forward to the challenge of playing in 16u this year with a team of mostly young but experienced players. Playing against the best teams will only make us better.
2009 has started......
In our first tournament we went 3-3-1 at the WFC in Sumter and finished 5th out of 11 teams. …
The next weekend, we played an ISA event in Hartsville. We won both pool games and our bracket game before the tournament was rained out on Sunday. We were going to get an opportunity to play a very good Florence Fury team Sunday morning but we will have to wait until another tournament to play them.
We played in Hartsville on 6-13-09 in the ISA All America City Shoot Out and met 3 time Olympian Leah O'Brien-Amico !!! Palmetto Rage finished with the best overall record (5-0-1) and only allowed 6 runs in 6 games.
We played next in the ASA Mid Summer Daze Tournament in Simpsonville with some of the best teams in the state. The Rage went on to win their first ASA Tournament ever. Good things happen when you never give up!

We played in the NSA State Tournament in Florence on July 4th, where we finished 4th.
The next tournament was in Hartsville on July 25th...the ISA's Pitch For The Cure Tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society. The Palmetto Rage finished 3rd.
The Palmetto Rage traveled to Morganton, NC on August 1st to play in the Rage’s first ever showcase tournament. After a slow start the Rage rallied to finish second to the White Magic.
The Rage played in Rock Hill on August 14 in the Carolina Cardinals Late Summer Showcase. We had a great time and finished second in our pool because we gave up one more run than the Cardinals allowed their opponents!
We played again in the ISA's Carolina Print and Trophies Power House Classic. The 16u age group will be played at the Chappell Drive Complex in Bishopville instead of Byerly Park in Hartsville! There were 15 teams signed up and we finished fifth.
We next played in the ASA Mid State Fall Classic in Sumter where we finished second.
We then played in the ISA Fall State in Hartsville and finished fourth.
Rage played in the NSA Make-A-Wish in Florence and finished fourth again.
Most recently we played in the WFC Fast Pitch Frenzy in Dillon and finsihed second to the Dixie Diamondbacks.

We play next in the Ashlie Pipkin Memorial Tournament, November 14-15 in Sumter. We hope for a big turnout.

2008 was another good year ... (67-30-2 overall)....It's hard to believe that 2008 was our fifth year of Palmetto Rage softball.
A special thanks goes out to all of our friends who filled in during 2008 when we needed help! You can never have too many good friends.
