Hello Pack 588 !!!

Here is the information for Sunday, July 4th for the Red, White & Cruise event.

We are to park in regular public parking ( PARKING IS FREE). I need everyone to meet me at GATE 10 at 5:15pm. From there I will need the parade wavier sign. Parents will need to march in the parade that was the deal made to get the tickets. 

I need for the boys to be dressed in CLASS A uniform. After the parade they will need to be in CLASS B. Garrett has advised me that we will be meeting for the Firework show. We will decide after the parade time and place where we will meet. 

GATES OPEN AT 2:00 pm you can go have fun until we need to meet at 5:15pm. I have your tickets if you would like to get them before Sunday you can call me.  

FYI! I work on Friday & Saturday at Starbucks on Citrus and Foothill...I'm off at 2:30pm on Friday & off at 5:00pm Saturday.  Please call or text message me if you will be coming so I make sure to have your tickets with me.  I will only be able to give you the tickets once im off work.

Hello Garret,

    I have the specifics about the bag stuffing for you. The day you have volunteered for is Tuesday June 1^st. We will need you to meet us at Miller Park also known as the Miller Fitness Center . The center is located behind the new Lewis Library at the address17004 Arrow Blvd. Upon arriving at the center make your way to the racquet ball courts where we will meet you. The courts are located down the hallway that is to your right when you first enter. The center is very small but if you need assistance there will be someone sitting at the front desk when you walk in. We will need your assistance from 6pm to approximately 8pm. We set up an assembly line on the courts and send the bags down the line to be filled. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Open to all Cub Scouts and their Families

When: Session "A" : March 19 - 21  Session "B" March 26 -28

Where: Firestone Scout Reservation

          Cost:  $25 per person with a Rocket / $18 per person without a Rocket

(Children under 4 years are free: no program, crafts or patch is provided)

Weekend events kick-off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and will last until Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m.

 1) We will be having a Pinewood Derby Workshop for those who are still working on their cars next Tues Jan 19th The race is a week away from our next den meeting (Sat Jan 30th @ Kathy Binks Elementary at 9:00am).  We will also need some volunteers to help out cutting the wood.  We will need some jigsaws, sanders or sand paper, flood lights and extension cords.  If you haven't purchased your Pinewood Derby Car, The Pinewood Derby Cars are available for $5 (See Claire). 

2) Orange Empire Railroad Museum Sat Jan 23rd at 10am.  We will be meeting at the Train Station. 

3) Blue and Gold (BSA Annual Birthday) will be in February location, time and date to be determined. Announcements to follow.

Every Tues & Thurs  Sat & Sun till July 5th

Yesterday, Pack 588 represented Cub Scouts of Inland Empire and the Red, White and Cruise event at the California Speedway in Fontana.

All the boys that were present took part in the paade and did a great job of walking togther and waving at the huge crowd of people that were watching.

Once the parade was over the boys and their families manned the booth that we had been assigned - getting the word about Cub Scouts out there to everyone, and hopefully managed to encourage a few new recruits to Cub Scouts in the process.

The boys alson got to look around the huge event and had their faces painted, got to sit in fire trucks and SWAT trucks, as well as watch performances and look at some cool cars and motorcycles.

To end the day there was a fantastic firework display that was enjoyed by everyone.

It was a long, hot, and fun day and everyone really had a great time.
