February Minute
Happy New Year!!!! No, this isnt a re-print of last months Cubmasters Minute, but a salute to this months theme, Chinese New Year. Im not sure what year it is exactly, rat, horse, rabbit, dragon, you get my drift. Chinese New Year is also our Blue and Gold theme so get ready to see some very interesting decorations at this years gala event. February also means its Valentines Day. Dont forget to get that special person a Valentines Day token of your appreciation. Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas always like a little chocolate around this time of year. For all you guys out there please dont forget about your sweetie or its sure to be a very long year for you mostly being reminded of your need for sensitivity training. With Fannie May and Walgreens so close, we have no excuses. Happy Valentines Day!!!
January Minute from Cubmaster Tony
Happy New Year!!!! 2008 promises to bring plenty of Scout fun, games, and activities for the upcoming year. How many of you made a New Years resolution? In last years Pack Chat, I spoke of renewed resolutions, specifically for a renewed commitment to our Pack. Im pleased to say that that has happened and continues through this day. This got me thinking of all those resolutions I made over the last four years as a member of our great Cub Scout Pack #196. For instance, a resolution to get back to my High School waist size; a resolution to give up sweets; a resolution to join a gym; a resolution to eat right; a resolution to color my hair (or grow some new); a resolution to keep doing the best job I can as your Cubmaster. Well, one out of six isnt bad!!! Happy New Year!!!!
