  Mission Statement

PYSA Mission Statement
The objective of Peabody Youth Soccer is to provide a teaching environment that is safe, fun, challenging and competitive. We will strive to give every player an equal opportunity to become successful. To accomplish this we will offer a traveling program, which competes against other towns in the ECYSA league and our own intramural league.

Implementing a long view
Develop and pursue an attitude with its focus on the long-term effects. We live in a result oriented society, and unfortunately, a lot of times we prepare our team for next Saturday's or Sunday's game and we forget the player and his development. There is an overwhelming concern around the world and especially in this country that the kids play too many games and not enough competitive practices. We have to challenge our kids in practice sessions that promote creativity, problem solving, and competitive spirit and allow room to experiment and to rely on trial and error.

Communication circle
We must create a communication circle: Board members to coaches to players back to coaches and back to board members. The player is always in the CENTER.
All Board members and especially the age group coordinators must help the coaches to understand and implement the objectives for each age group. Each age group coordinator must make certain that the coaches organize their practices with the appropriate activities and/or small-sided games. We will use the PYSA COACHES TRAINING MANUAL as a vehicle to accomplish these objectives.
