The 2009 Volleyball Season is underway!
Thanks to everyone, particularly our coaches, for your patience and understanding as we put the final pieces in place to make this a great season.
Pickerington High School North is having a PYAA Night on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Come out to help celebrate another successful season and honor this year's Senior players. See the Handouts section for full details.
Effective this year, all registrations must be done online. You can still pay the fee in person or via mail, but we ask that you complete the online registration form. We are unable to accept paper registrations using last year's form.
Important Note: when registering only for a player already in the system, please check to make sure their grade is correct. It does not automatically update, and this will help ensure they are placed at the appropriate level. Thank you.
Pickerington Youth Athletic Association is proud to announce that Volleyball will once again be offered (our 14th season!). Volleyball is for boys and girls who reside in the Pickerington Local School District and who will be in grades 3 thru 12 during the coming Fall 2009 school year.
This program is open to BOYS & GIRLS. We will be forming COED teams in the following grade groupings:

Our season will begin in late August/early September, depending on school facility availability. There are plenty of opportunities for parental involvement!!!! See Important Message at the bottom of this page.
The season will consist of one (1) practice during the week (1 hr) with matches on Saturdays during September & October. We'll end the season with a round-robin exhibition on the last weekend. All sessions will be conducted in school district facilities. Grades 7-12 will have two extra games added to their schedule at the end of the season, in lieu of their weekly practices.
Registrations will be accepted until July 1, 2009. After July 1, 2009, late registrations will be accepted until July 31, 2009. Late registrations are on a space-available basis and are also subject to a $25 Late Registration Fee. Registration can be done online in the comfort of your own home, or by visiting the PYAA office during its normal office hours. You can also pay the fee online at that same time, for no additional cost. If you prefer, you may also drop payments off at the PYAA office.
If you are trying out for a school team, we recommend you to still register for PYAA. A full refund will be issued to those that make a school team. The schools do not make their rosters available to PYAA, so please notify the grade coordinator if you made the school team ASAP so that a refund can be processed. No refunds after July 31, 2009, with the exception of school team players.
We do our best to honor schedule requests if they are marked properly on the registration, however we cannot guarantee this. Please take your time in filling out the registration form.
Important Message for Parents:
Our goal is to make this sport fun, enjoyable and educational for all our players. We can only accomplish this with the help of parent volunteers who are willing to give up a little of their time (approx 2 hours a week) to make this a reality. Even if you have never coached before, we can still use you. The only requirement is a desire to help us make this fun for all the kids playing.
