Is PTYFC a zero-tolerance facility?
| Any actions deemed “illegal” by the PTYFC Rules and/or Board Member will not be tolerated and the individual(s) will be asked to leave the facilities/field immediately. If the individual refuses to do so, appropriate law enforcement will be contacted. This includes altercations, either verbal or physical, with the coaches, officials, other parents, PTYFC Board members, etc. If you do have a complaint or concern, please contact a Board member to discuss it. |
Are the Board Members of PTYFC paid for their time?
| No, The Board Members are not reimbursed for their time and are strictly volunteers. Most Board Members, in addition to holding a position with PTYFC, work full time jobs as well as managing a family. |
Are the coaches reimbursed for their time?
| No, the coaches (both cheer and football) are not paid for their time. PTYFC is a 100% volunteer organization. |
What does the registration fee go towards?
| The registration fee for both football and cheerleading go towards various aspects of the program, including, but not limited to, jerseys, cheer uniforms, insurance, administrative costs, costs associated with maintaining the PTYFC facilities (trailer, PMMS football/soccer fields, officials, etc.) |
Does PTYFC have a website or hotline?
| Yes. PTYFC.Org. is the website. (317) 767-1579 is the hotline. Please note that the hotline is a voicemail only and is checked, at least, weekly during the season. |
Who are the members of the Board and how can I contact them?

Why doesn’t my school have a team this year?
| Teams are determined by the 19-player rule (see below). If there are not enough players signed up per the 19-player rule, players may be assigned to other “school” teams other than the school they attend. |
What is the 19-player rule in football?
| The Board reserves the right to move players to another school from schools that have fewer than 16 or more than 19 players to insure that all children can play. The “school” rosters will be filled based on the DATE and TIME that the league received payment of registration fees. (PTYFC Rules, 2006) (This information is filled out by PTYFC when the registration form is turned in to PTYFC). To give your child the best chance of being on his “school” team, he/she should plan to register as soon as possible after registration is opened. Is PTYFC affiliated with the Perry Township Schools?
| No. PTYFC is not affiliated with the Perry Township Schools. The schools do not have any information concerning our league. Please direct all phone calls to our hotline. |
When do football players pick up their equipment and what is required at that time?
| Football players pick up their equipment at the times listed at registration. Your COMPLETED physical must accompany the player in order to receive your equipment. If the physical is not completed and signed by a physician, you WILL NOT receive your equipment at the equipment pick up time. |
Can any type of stickers be put on the football equipment?
| No Stickers of any kind are not permitted to be placed on the PTYFC helmet or shoulder pads. Coaches may only use league-approved tape (no duct tape or any tape that leaves a residue) to differentiate stripers on their team and kids name must be removed from helmet before first game. No other markings are allowed on the helmets or shoulder pads. This is to preserve the longevity and appearance of the equipment. |
Individual equipment required is ?
| Each parent is responsible for supplying his/her child with approved, safe equipment. Individual equipment required is: practice shirt, white pants with pads, athletic supporter, mouth-guard, shoes with molded soles, and socks for practice and games.
The league is responsible for supplying the player with helmet (NOCSAE approved), shoulder pads, and game jersey. The league must approve all equipment used by players. Any player wearing any type of cast or splint will not be allowed to participate. Players may wear elbow, wrist, forearm, and hand pads provided that they do not interfere with safe play. |
