PETERS TOWNSHIP GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION
provides team playing opportunities for girls in grades 1 through 12 in recreational slow pitch softball and travel slow and fast pitch softball. Based in McMurray PA, the organization boasts one of the strongest programs in the area with over 39 teams. Stressed are individual participation and skill development for the purpose of gaining the athletic and social benefits of the sport.
2008 SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
The Peters Township Girls Softball registration for the upcoming 2008 season will be held on Saturday January 26th & Saturday February 2nd. Location for this registration will be the Peters Township Parks & Rec. Center Building from 9:00am until 12noon.
Slow-Pitch ages and fees are as follows:
Instructional League - K thru 2nd grade the fee will be $50.00.
Red, White & Blue Leagues - 3rd thru 12th grade the fee will be $60.00.
The fee for the Spring Fast-Pitch league will be $100.00 for all ages 10 thru 18.
Also, inquiries about the Fall Fast-Pitch league will be taken at this time.
All late registrations will be subject to roster availability. Placement will be on a first come first serve basis until all teams are filled.
After February 2nd, all registrations will be considered late and can be subject to a $20.00 late fee. Participation in this recreational softball requires a commitment to attend practices and/or games 2 to 3 nights per week from the beginning of April through the end of June. We welcome all players who are involved in other spring and summer activities, however, we need to know your child's expected level of commitment in order to properly balance out the talent level of each team for all leagues.

Attention Parents:
Our league has adopted a zero tolerance policy with respect to harassment and confrontation of umpires. We do not feel it is the place of any parent to challenge calls or make confrontational remarks to umpires. We have advised our coaches to ask fans to refrain from this behavior. When this occurs, the out of order parent stands the risk of causing their own team to forfeit the game and being dismissed from the park. We have instructed our directors, coaches, and umpires to contact the Peters Twp. police to assist in any such dismissal. We ask you all to remember that we value our umpires and seek to protect them at all cost. Let us all work to improve conduct by eliminating these unfortunate incidents and unbecoming behaviors.
