Swan Park has been the home for the Port St. Lucie Hurricanes Recreational and Select Soccer program for 25 years. This site was established to keep our members informed of the on going progress of their club through out the season. It is also intended to be a source of information for our coaches and players to keep them up-to-date on any club related news and or upcoming club events. Fall Season 2008...ON LINE Registration is open for everyone.   

Port St. Lucie Soccer Club cares about the safety of all the players and that is why we have great coaches and referees for all ages throughout the season.  All of our referees are certified and well trained.  We have seasoned and veteran coaches and most of them have been with us for many years.  We also continue to accept applications for volunteer coaches; those who volunteer to be head coaches will receive $30.00 refund at the end of the season, and will be offered free training to become more skilled at the game of soccer as well as other privileges. 

Rates

Micro (U-6) and U-8 boys and girls $79.00 until July 15th after that it will be $85.00  

U-10 up to U-18 boys and girls $89.00 until July 15th after that it will be $95.00 What you get for the money - Jersey, Shorts, & Socks.  Referee fees and coaching is also included as well as registration with Florida Youth Soccer Association and supplemental coverage in the event of an injury.   

There will be NO REFUNDS after 8/22/08 for any reason, only a 50% discount for the next season will be offered.  

Season info for Micro (U-6) and U-8 and in house U-10  

Official Season

The official season for Micro (U-6) and U-8 and in house U-10 will begin the weekend 9/6 and 9/7.  Teams will be put together on that weekend and more information will be posted regarding teams.   

Practices

Practices will begin there after and the days for practices are Monday, Wednesday or Fridays and it will be from either 6-7 or 7-8.  It is up to the coach as to what days they practice and practice is up to twice a week. Most of the Micro and U-8's practice once per week, but again it is up to the coach.   

Games

The first game for the Micro (U-6), U-8's and in house U-10's will begin on Saturday 10/04/08 and it will end two weeks before Christmas. All games will be on Saturdays for all Micro and U-8's and for the in house U-10's.  Saturday games will begin at 9 AM for Micro (U-6) and U-8's and in house U-10's and the last games will be no later that 2 PM. Most of U-10's will play on Saturday and some on Sunday. Depending on the amount of players we receive is how we will determine if U- 10 teams will be by gender or coed as the Micro and U-8 are.  There will be no games on Thanksgiving weekend.    

Special Requests

We will attempt to honor special requests for the young ones but remember we CAN'T GUARANTEE any of them.   

Preseason Parent Meeting for Micro (U6) & U8 A meeting for all the parents on the Micro, U-6 and U-8 will be set and emailed and posted on the web site, please check the web site in early August for more information.  

Season info for U-10 up to U-18  

Draft Day

For U-10's and up, draft day will be on 9/6/08 and 9/7/08.  More information will be posted on the web site in early August or before.   

 Practices

Practices will begin after draft day and will be twice per week.  It is up to the coaches when the teams practice, they will choose 2 nights on  either - Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Some coaches due to scheduling conflicts may request Tuesday and Thursday and in most cases we can accommodate them.  Practice times will be for the younger players from 6-7 or 7-8 and the older players from 7-8 or 8-9 and again this will be determined by each coach.   

Teams

Teams will be put together after draft day and everyone will be notified by their coach as to what team they are on.   GamesGames will begin in late October and end in early February for these age groups.  There will be no games on Thanksgiving weekend and there will be no games in the last two weeks in December for Christmas holiday.  More information will be posted on the web site soon.    U-16's and U-18's registrations will be accepted, we will have a season for both age groups.  We are not sure of all the details until the rest of the league finishes their registrations. We can either play full sided games or we may play 6 V 6 within the club or with the TCSL, again depending on the league and we'll know later on in the summer.   

Everyone who signs on line will receive updates in August regarding draft days and times and any other information or changes. 

Once we reach our maximum player numbers the registration will close registration.  We do early registration each year to give everyone the opportunity to sign up and avoid being on the waiting list.  There will be no registrations after 8/24/08 – we may close early if we reach our desired numbers in each age group.   

In person registrationIn person registration will only be on Friday 8/22/08 from 6-8 PM, Saturday 8/23/08 from 10 AM-2 PM and Sunday 8/24/08 from 1 PM to 3 PM.  No other dates will be posted.
