The Pearl River Little League 11-12 Year Old Softball Team defeated Nanuet 10-0 Sunday night, June 29th in their opening game of the 2008 District 18 Tournament. Pearl River was led by Mandy McCarthy's outstanding pitching performance. She did not give up a hit, and faced only 14 batters in 4 innings, striking out  8.  An outstanding defensive play from Aileen Burke in right field preserved the no-hitter. Erin Woods, Sam Alicandri and Kelly Hayes all scored 2 runs, with the biggest hits coming from De O'Malley (3 RBI's) and  Lea Miller (2 RBI's).

July 2:  Pearl River lost a well-played game to Stony Point, 3-1. 

July 6:  New City pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning to edge Pearl River by a tight 2-1 score at Anderson Field.
