July 21, 2007:  The PRLL softball 10 year-olds got their re-match with New City tonight, and came out on top, 4-3, in an excellent game.  Details to follow. They play New City again on Monday, July 23 (away) for the District 18 Championship.

July 20, 2007:  The 10 y/o softball all-stars refused to lose to Nanuet on Thursday evening winning a hard fought game at Anderson Field by the score of 3-2. After a very difficult loss in Game 1 of the tournament vs. New City, the girls have fought their way thru the Losers bracket, winning 3 games in a row, and will face New City Saturday evening, July 21st. Should they beat New City Saturday, they will play for the District 18 Championship on Monday, July 23rd at 7:00PM inNew City.  The team appreciates the support they have received thus far, and look forward to even more support on Saturday evening.

Previous games:

Game 1 (7/12):  New City - 3 / PR - 2 (7 innings)
Well played game on both sides with Caroline Kardashian allowing only 1 run over 6 innings, and Annie White hitting a double and tieing the game with a steal of home.

Game 2 (7/15): PR - 9 / SO - 8
A see saw battle as PR outlasted SO due to 5 strong innings on the mound from Mandy McCarthy, coupled with several outstanding defensive gems from Sam Alicandri, and keys hits from Sam, Katie Ryan and De O'Malley.

Game 3 (7/17): PR - 14 / Haverstraw - 8
Our 9/10 girls lived to play another day as they beat Haverstraw last night at Anderson field by the score of 14-8.  There were many contributors on offense as Julia McGowan and Mandy McCarthy had big hits, Lea Miller, Erin Woods and Kelly Hayes played some great outfield defense, and Kirsten McGarvey pitched 6 strong innings.  The 9/10 all stars play home again on Thursday at 7 PM against Nanuet.
