2006 ALICIA BRADY TOURNAMENT RESULTS AND GAME SUMMARIES
BRADY TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Sunday, July 16, 2006:
Clarkstown, 23 – Pearl River, 9: An overall potent offense by Clarkstown quickly put Pearl River on the defensive. Clarkstown got out to a small but early lead in the first inning. Consistent hitting (including a triple from Amanda which drove in 3 runs), good base running and some big gloves (Ami making the catch of the game) kept a feisty Pearl River team from getting a win. Mallory (4-K's) pitched all but 2/3 of the 1st inning for the win. Hats off to both teams who played a competitive game in the searing heat.
Stony Point, 8 – South Orangetown, 4: Stony Point broke up a tight game in the top of the sixth inning with 5 runs, highlighted by key base hits from Christine O’Riordan and Rebecca Porr. South Orangetown tried to come back in the bottom of the sixth with two runs on singles from Cassie Leone and Kelly Dinnegan and a double by Kelly Connolly, but the rally fell short. Shannon Robinson threw a five-hitter for Stony Point.
