Help Wanted
1) Must wear heavy, cumbersome protective gear while working in the direct sunlight with temperatures in excess of 90 degrees.
2) You will have cylindrical metal and wooden objects swung within inches of your head while circular objects are thrown directly at you.
3) You will be required to stand perfectly still as this happens and not even blink. Especially not blink.
4) You will be struck, when you least expect it, by the circular objects and suffer multiple contusions during your term of employment.
5) You may be required to negotiate peace between two agitated parties.
6) Every decision you make will be evaluated and second-guessed by everyone. You will be required to make these decisions in a split second and have them analyzed for days by people who saw it better from a bad angle and further away than you were from the scene.
7) You may be required to do double-shifts on Saturdays.
8) You will be given water while you work (prisoners even get “bread with their water”).
Salary: A soda and hot dog, or if you did a really good job you may even get fries too.
Benefits: Just when you start to question “WHY” do I do this, you realize there is a reward program that is unavailable to anyone else. You get the best seat in the house at every Little League game you work, with a view of all the action right up front. You get to share the experience of a child’s first hit, the first time they score a run, their first home run and know that you are a vital part of making it all possible. The greatest dividend is the smile and thanks you will receive from the children who may not always show it, but respect and admire you for being there for them.
If this sounds like a job for you, then contact PL0143@aol.com and become one of the BLUE.

"Pinellas Park National Little League"
Servicing your local community
- Defination of Community: A group of people living in the same area, with the same interest or working towards a common goal.
Pinellas Park National is proud to say that with your help, PPN has been able to help members of our Little League family and community this year.
In December PPN hosted the 2nd Annual Tammy Rosario Memorial Tournament. Tammy Rosario was a dedicated board member. Her two children, Ryan and Ruben played for PPN and her husband Ruben coached at the field. Tammy passed on this year leaving her loving family behind. Money was raised at this tournament to help her family with the unexpected costs of loosing a loved one
But.. we didn't stop there.
PPN chose to waive the fees for the teams to register to play at this tournament in exchange for a donation of toys. We requested one toy per child playing in the tournament.. and WOW did you people come thru.. THANK YOU. We collected over 240 toys for the "Just us Friends" group that collects toys for Vincent De Paul Charities that distribute them to our local communities. The players, the local Little Leagues that participated in the tournament and the board of PPN came thru for these needy kids. Thank you all. UPDATE: DECEMBER 2010 WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE CONTINUED THE TRADITION AND COLLECTED TOYS FOR THIS VERY WORTHY CHARITY. FEES TO REGISTER TO PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT WAS WAIVED BY PPN SO THAT THE FAMILIES, PLAYERS AND VOLUNTEERS COULD FOCUS ON WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR... THE GIFT OF CHARITY. WE ARE PLEASED TO SAY WE COLLECTED OVER 200 TOYS FOR THIS VERY WORTHY GROUP. Updated May 2011. Pinellas Park National hosted a mid season tournament to benefit the Pinellas Park Public Service Foundation. This foundation gives Pinellas Park high school seniors college scholarships. We were proud to be asked to help raise funds for this great organization.
January 2010.. local news is reporting that the local homeless shelters are out of funds. These record low temperatures we have been experiencing are lasting longer then anyone expected. One of our executive board members called a City Council member and said "How can we at Pinellas Park National Little League help".. and they told us. Today, we are pleased to say that PPN has made a donation of the requested funds and items to the homeless shelter.
This is exactly what being part of a community is about. Pinellas Park National Little League is YOUR community Little League. Little League was founded on the idea of children playing ball within their communities. Kids play ball with their neighbors and the kids they go to school with. Community spirit and pride. We are proud to say Pinellas Park National is a member of this community
