Some Individual Statistics from Nationals!
Goalie Marina Melchiorre was ranked 10th among all goalies at Nationals. She had a 3-2 record with a .897 save percentage, a 2.48 GAA and 1 shutout. She played 254 minutes and stopped 91 of 105 shots.

Forward Ann Mallory finished 12 among all scorers at the tournament. Mallory who was a +1 for the tournament scored 6 goals and had 1 assistfor 7 points. Two of her 6 goals were Game Winning Goals!

Team Glacier (Buffalo) 4, Columbus Capitals 0
In their final game at Nationals the Columbus Capitals were not themselves being shutout for the first time in the tournament and taking a team record number of penalties as they lost 4-0 to Team Glacier of Buffalo.

While the team has 12 PIMs, their penalty kill was superb, killing off all but one of the Glacier powerplays.

Elaine Luzano and Gale Kerr each racked up 4 PIM while Mindy Pauff and Pam Kobryn claimed the other 2.

Cindy Bronson, playing another solid game in net stopped 25 of the 29 shots from Team Glacier. Overall, Bronson stopped 62 of the 70 shots she faced at Nationals, finishing with a 88.6% save percentage and a GAA of 2.67.

The Capitals return home to host the POWHA Playoffs meeting #4 Kent Twisters at 10:30 April 8th for the right to face Central Pittsburgh in round two of the playoffs.
