Central 2006
Central Pittsburgh-Jan 2006

Central Pittsburgh is the first non-founding team to win the POWHA Championship. They are also the first team from Pennsylvania to claim the cup.

After playing an intense season of games in preparation for their first trip to to USAH Nationals Central Pittsburgh was primed and ready to take the POWHA championship. The only thing that stood in their way, the two time Champion Cleveland Blues. With focus and committment, Central Pittsburgh came out firing and took the championship 6-2. Congratulations Central!

Central Pittsburgh has been together playing in exhibition games and tournaments for a few years now and has both new and experienced players and thier presence in the league has added to the overall experience for all of the POWHA teams and players.
