Sunday, December 13: Congratulations to the team for a successful start to the club season, coming out first in our pool, then advancing to the semifinals to finish 3rd in the 12-team Circus tournament. Nice way to start the season!

Sunday, January 10: Congratulations to the team for another very successful outing. The team once again placed first in our pool, then advanced to the finals where we lost a close 3 game championship match, placing 2nd in the 10-team Circus tournament. Lots of close games and exciting play! (See Tournament Results for details)

Sunday, January 24: Congratulations to the team for a great second day of the two-day Palos Point Series. The team swept all three matches of the day to finish 1st in their 8 team pool. Way to get it going guys! That was some awesome team play! (See Tournament Results for details)

Sunday, Feb 7:  Molten Wisconsin Boys' Volleyball Festival -- There have been and there will be better outings!  Let's keep working to get better.

TENTATIVE PLAN FOR THE 2009-2010 CLUB SEASON:

SEE 'Calendar' FOR TENTATIVE 2009-2010 SEASON'S SCHEDULE. One additional tournament may be added (Feb 21? March 3 & 4?) as well as a couple of practices in March. Schedule is subject to changes!

TEAMS: One Boys 17s team; 10 tournament players plus 2 practice players

SEASON LENGTH: November 21 through March 27 (Badger Region Championships)

PRACTICES: Usually twice a week. Usually 1 practice during the week on Wednesday evening, and 1 on the weekend (usually Saturday, occasionally on Sunday). Probably 30-35 total.

PRACTICE SITES: Almost all practices held at Homestead High School.

TOURNAMENTS: Seven or Eight - Probably 3 in Milwaukee area plus 4 or 5 in Chicago area. One or two of the Chicago tournaments would likely be 2-day tournaments. (No trips to St. Louis or to Nationals)

DUES: At this time the dues are projected to be within the $650-670 range, depending on the tournaments entered, number of practice players, and other variables. (Dues for 2008-2009 were $660) Dues cover tournament fees, practice facility fees, tournament uniform (2 shirts, shorts), Badger Region fees, coach's stipend, and equipment. Not covered are an optional Power Alley sweatshirt and any expenses incurred during any overnight.
