Boys Travel Lacrosse
PYA Boys Lacrosse will field 5 travel teams in the Nassau County PAL lacrosse league for the 2001 season.
Port will enter teams in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades, as well as two teams in the 6th Grade division.
Home games will be played at the Lions Field facility on the newly dedicated "Harvey Cohen" field.

Spring Baseball Boys Minor League
The Minor League is developmental in natuire with fundamental skills introduced when appropriate for the age or readiness of the player. This program starts March 17. Grades 3 and 4
Spring Baseball Boys Major League
The Major League builds upon and further develops the skills learned in the Minor Leagues. Grades 5, 6 and 7. Tryouts Saturday March 17
Boys Intramural Lacrosse Junior Division
This years Intramural Lacrosse program will consist of 2 divisions of 4 teams each. One division of 3rd & 4th graders, and one division of 5th & 6th graders.
The Intramural Commissioner is Kirk Baugher.
Games will begin on April 8th at 2:30 pm.
All games will be held at Schreiber H.S. on the south fields adjacent to Bogart Ave. & Old Hills Lane.
Basketball
This program for boys and girls ages 5-13 is held on Saturday's. The starting date is the end of November and continues through March
Girls Lacrosse
PYA is entering its tenth year for Girls Lacrosse. Last year we entered one team of 40 girls in the junior and one team of 40 girls in the senior division of Long Island Midget Lacrosse
Roller Hockey Senior Division
Spring Roller Hockey swings into session on Monday March 12 at the Manorhaven Rink at 4:15 PM. All are welcome regardless of ability for boys and girls ages 8-13.This is a FUN league and there is no checking allowed. Each participant will receive an NHL professional style jersey and trophy. For this years league we will be using uniforms from the early 1900's and also from the NHL's new expansion teams. The league runs for ten Mondays with games each week. Come on down to the rink and check it out, the kids really have a great time, where the only requirements are fun and sportsmanship
Wrestling
This is a program for boys ages 8-15. Sessions are once a week, starting in October. We had 32 participants last year.
Swimming
The swimming Program is held at New Hyde Park Pool. All instructors are certified in the Red Cross instructional program. Each class session includes instruction,practice and recreational swim. The cost of admission is included in the course registration. Parents must provide their own transportation to and from the pool. Parent may remain to observe their child in action. The cost of the program is $150.00 for both days and $80.00 for one day. We have a close out of 25 children per session. Children who register for both days have preference. A carry-all bag,bathing cap,bathing suit,towel and 25 cents for locker are necessary items for the program.
