Burlson will be hosting the Select/Platinum Nationals on July 10-15 for Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, Pony, Colt and Palomino teams.

I am looking for sites for the San Antonio and Austin area to host the Sectionals. For the San Antonio area we will need 8 fields with lights and Austin we will need 10 fields with lights. We are also looking for a site in the Austin area for Regionals. We will need 10 fields with lights and hotels in the area for teams traveling to the Austin area.
 

I am looking for the  leagues to host Platinum Tournaments. The number of fields will depend on how many teams and division we have. For a Platinum tournament we work together in pulling in the teams for a Platinum tournament.

For all tournaments we cannot control the weather, number of games a night or games that run those extra innings so we do need lights on the fields. We will also need hotels for the PONY Directors that will be traveling a distance. If any league would like to host one of these tournaments please e-mail Cindy Strickland at c.strickland@pony.org or  210-825-1419.

Alumni Scholarships

Troy Stein from Medina Valley was the Scholarship Winner for the Central Texas Area.

 Any PONY Baseball or Softball player who has played on a PONY affiliated Pony, Colt and/or Palomino team for at least two years prior to application and is a senior in high school may be eligible for a $1,500.00 Alumni Scholarship.  The deadline for application is May 1, 2012
The application is available to view online and print online at www.pony.org.  On the front page click on Alumni and Scholarships.  Then open the PONY Alumni Scholarship Form.  Print out and follow the directions for submission along with all the appropriate documents.
