No. 7 Poway (22-2-4) vs. No. 1 Santa Monica (28-0-1) 1 p.m. at Warren HS

Poway needed no penalty kicks during its semifinal game and advanced to the finals with a smooth 3-1 win over No. 3 Fresno Roosevelt. The Titans had to play on the road throughout the regionals because of their low seed, which leaves them better prepared to take the unfamiliar Warren HS field. Santa Monica was not forced to travel until the finals, and the new territory could challenge the Vikings' drive. Santa Monica shows few cracks in its armor, and Poway will rely on its stars—Ian Weinberg, Spencer Skeen, E.J. Schneekluth, Collin Wooster, Gunnar Emery, Zach Olow and Alex Henry—to find one.
