Usual Suspects Put Poway in Finals
Spencer Skeen, E.J. Schneekluth and Collin Wooster each scored a goal to lead seventh-seeded Poway to a 3-1 victory over Fresno Roosevelt in the Division I CIF Southern California Championship semifinals at Fresno Pacific tonight. Poway (22-2-4) didn't need overtime this time around, easily knocking off third-seeded Roosevelt (20-5-5), by jumping out to a 2-0 halftime lead. Wooster had the assist on Skeen's score, the first goal of the game. Schneekluth gave the Titans the eventual game-winner off a penalty kick. Wooster's goal came off a corner kick assisted by Alex Henry. Poway will play top-seeded Santa Monica (28-0-1) for the regional title on Saturday at Warren HS in Downey at 1 p.m.-Julie Cudney
