2-1-10: Because El Camino's field is under construction, their home games with Poway are being played at PHS this week. JV won 7-1, and Freshmen won 4-1 on Monday.

12-22-09: Varsity beat Mt. Carmel 3-0 in the SDHS semifinal, avenging the loss to Mt. Carmel in the semifinal of the Coronado Tournament. Goals were made by Dallin Hayne, assisted by Alex Henry and Evan Myers, Alex Henry unassisted, and Eric Budniewski assisted by Evan Myers. Philip Bru made 3 saves to get the shutout. Final is tomorow, Dec 23, at 11 AM vs. San Diego HS.
Freshman team played La Costa Canyon twice in the Westview-Del Norte tournament, losing 1-0 in bracket play and 2-0 in semifinal.

Varsity beat Morse in the SDHS tournament quarterfinal game 5-0. Goals were scored Eric Budniewski (2 goals, both assisted by Alex Henry), Evan Meyers (Brian Budniewski), Nick Custis (Lief Kristiansson) and Antonio Cedillo-Martinez. Zach McDonnell had 6 saves in goal for the shutout.
JV team split games in the Westview-Del Norte Tournament, losing to Westview 5-0 and beating Mira Mesa 1-0.
Freshmen split their games also, beating Del Norte 7-0 and losing to Westview 4-0. Poway goals were scored by Hugh Seifert (assisted by Drake Berdan), Zach Campbell (Jose Villa), Drake Berdan (Roman Cedillo), Andrew Savitt (Hugh Seifert), Andrew Savitt (RJ Fallon) Josh Butikofer, and Jackson Fisher (Jorge Cedillo).
12-19-09: Varsity beat Clairemont 2-0 in the third and last bracket game of the SDHS tournament, and thus won Group D. Tonight's goals were scored by Alex Henry and Antonio Cedillo (assisted by Tony Nguyen). Philip Bru made 3 saves to earn the shutout.
12-18-09: Varsity beat Mira Mesa 2-1 in the second game of the SD HS Tournament. Mira Mesa scored in the first half and the Titans responded in the second with a long goal by Alex Henry and a rebound shot from Tony Nguyen.
12-16-09: Varsity won at Westview 2-1 in a thriller, as Dallin Hayne headed in Brian Budniewski's free kick in the final minute. Warren Ashcroft had scored in the first half, converting Kevin Meyer's crossing pass after Alex Henry's long pass to Kevin at the right post. Westview scored with five minutes remaining in the game to tie up the contest. Philip Bru had 5 saves in goal for the win.
Earlier in the afternoon, the Freshman team lost 1-3 to Westview. Carlos Guerrero scored PHS only goal on a PK.
12-14-09: JV won at Del Norte 5-0.
Frosh won at Del Norte 8-0. Goals scored by Jose Villa (assisted by Drake Berdan), Jose Villa again (Drake Berdan again), Josh Butikofer, Roman Cedillo (Jons Norzagary), Hugh Seifert (Josh Butikofer), Andrew Savitt, Spencer Orr (Carlos Guerrero), and Spencer Orr again. Spencer Orr and Hugh Seifert split credit for the shutout.
12-12-09: JV results at Montgomery Tournament: JV beat St. Augustine Frosh in the Semifinal 3-0, and lost in overtime to the St. Augustine JV 1-2 in the final.
Varsity tied Patrick Henry 1-1 in SDHS tournament. Poway goal was scored by Kevin Meyer, assisted by Eric Budniewski.
12-11-09: Results of games against Mission Hills: Frosh tied 3:3; Poway goals by Drake Berdan (2) and Hugh Seifert. JV lost 2-3, with goals scored by Ben Faller and Marcus Diaz.
The Varsity team won the first home game 3-0 over Mission Hills. Goals were scored by Tony Nguyen assisted by Warren Ashcroft, Warren Ashcroft assisted by Alejandro Berry, and Tony Nguyen assisted by Warren Ashcroft again. Philip Bru achieved the shutout with 2 saves.
12-10-09: Mt. Miguel had transportation problems, so the Frosh and JV games were postponed.
12-9-09: JV won 3-0 over Montgomery. That puts them in the semifinal game Saturday at 9 AM at Southwest High.
12-8-09: Varsity knocked out of Coronado Tournament by Mt. Carmel by 0-1 score in semi-final.
