Hey wrestlers - We only have 4 more practices this year - Let's make them count!!!

Weekly Schedule:

Monday, 12/14/09 - Practice at Pennwood:

6:15-7:30pm-1st session

7:30-8:45pm-2nd Session (Please note - this is for more advanced wrestlers, if you are a first or second year wrestler, please check with coach Bove or Clarke if you should be in this session)

Attention Parents/Wrestlers:

Dec. 19th - Holiday Classic - Sign up now:

We are very excited to be hosting our annual Holiday Classic with Santa on Saturday, December 19th at Pennwood Middle School. We have PAL (Police Athletic League) and Father Judge coming in for a fun morning of wrestling and a surprise visit by Santa. We will NOT have regular practice this day. There will be a sign up sheet around at practice that you must fill out if you plan on wrestling. We can only take approximately 40 wrestlers, so this will be on a first come first taken basis. Please do not sign up if you are not available on December 19th. We will wrestle from 8am until approximately 1pm. This is a great chance to experience first hand live wrestling before the season begins. The kids always have a great time, so make sure you sign up. See Ed Dayton.

Concession & Table Help needed:

Hello Parents,

As the Holiday Classic approaches, so does your opportunity to help. I am looking for a few large coolers, crock pots and some willing hands to help out. We will be responsible for nourishing all those hungry wrestlers, siblings and parents. I need 3-4 people per shift on Sat. 8:00,10:00, and 12:00.

Responsibilities include: keeping us stocked up; serving food;and doing periodic checks of the gym, to be sure all food and drinks are consumed at tables in the vestibule.

With enough hands, the work should be easy. Of course you will be free to watch your wrestler’s matches, regardless of what shift you sign up for.

Updated Club Info:

This year we will divide our entire club into several teams and begin matches against each team. Matches will held on Friday nights from 6pm – 9pm at Pennsbury High School West with staggered start times and/or Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The top three PFWC teams will receive an award. We also have a PFWC team member’s only tournament at the end of the season with awards going to individual wrestlers.

We will schedule home and away exhibition matches against area clubs such as Council Rock, Hopewell, Robbinsville, PAL and others. You will be asked to sign up for these matches. Prior to each match, coaches from the opposing teams meet to setup matches. If possible, up to three matches per wrestler are scheduled depending on the opposing team's roster. Coaches attempt to match wrestlers as close as possible based on experience, age and weight.

We will suggest several tournaments that you may choose to attend. We will also compete in a couple of team duals that you will have to wrestle off for to make the team. There also may be one or two Bux-Mont team duals that you will have to wrestle off for to make the team.

Lastly, we have a great end of season banquet to finish off the season.
