Peyton began playing tennis in 1953 and gave his first lesson in 1956. He was hired by the Mayfield Recreation Department to give summer lessons behind the current Mayfield Middle School. Peyton continued to teach thousands of players over the next 50 years. He wanted to become a good player, so that he could teach others. His unselfish desire to help others is why he was recognize.
He was awarded with a plague that will be posted at the Mayfield High School Courts. The City of Mayfield recognized by commemorating September 12th as "Peyton Blewett Day". Other gifts were also given to him by his tennis family. Thanks Peyton.

Andy was Vice President for two years. Along with that he attended many state meetings and training. He has written for and received numerous grants for our area. It is with these grants we are able to have tournaments, juniors programs.......
Kelly has been the Junior program director for two years. She has also stepped in to finish the term of the vacating Secretary.
Together they have grown our junior program into what it is today. They have made great strides for tennis in our community. Our continued growth depends on our youth.
MAYFIELD 4.0 WOMEN WIN NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

Esther Hubbards 4.0 team consisted of players from Mayfield, Murray, Paducah, New Concord, Cadiz, Metropolis, IL, Jackson, TN, and Atoka, TN. The roster for the winning team is Captain - Esther Hubbard, Cindy Morgan, Kimberly Cates, Beverly Ezell, Mary Lee Clark, Binkie Whitnell, Kathy Thompson, Doris Glaz, Kim Trimm, Lisa Hollis, Sandy Bridges, Liza Holman, Charity Wilson, and Sharman Coley.
Hubbards 4.0 senior womens team won the state and sectional tournaments as well. They played in the national tournament and won 2nd in their bracket. The players are the following: Captain - Esther Hubbard, Mary Lee Clark, Ellen Wise, Marla Boyer, Bobbie Ogletree, Bev Nuerge, Suzanne Dilihay, Liza Holman, Lousie Owen, and Diana Harris.
