Salem Market & Grill...a few former McClaren's players combined with what was going to be Lady Rebels, a new team.

Greentree Pre Season Results and Review

Hello All,
Greentree Women's Softball would like to thank all the teams who supported our Pre-Season Tournament this weekend. I hope all enjoyed. On Saturday during the good weather portion of the tournament we were able to get 13 games in. Justus advanced to the king seat game and defeated Greentree as Long Shots, Clancy's and Elliott were fighting to survive the day. At day's end Clancy's, P-Bar, Port-Vue, Gorman's Squad 380, Greentree and Justus were set to due battle in the mud on Sunday. On Sunday playing on a muddy field we were able to complete 5 games before Crowning Justus as the winner with Gorman's coming in 2nd (please note Championship game and or games were eventually rained out). Sunday's Hightlights included a last inning 9 run rally by Squad 380 to tie Clancy's at 20 followed by a triple play in bottom of the inning to force extra innings. Clancy's survived 21-20. After winning 2 games Gormans beat Greentree 10-9 in extra innings Coming from behind twice in a well played game. Gorman's didn't get the chance to play in the final because it started to rain again. Justus, in a gracious decision decided to split the prize money. It was nice to see a new PASL team Long Shots come out and play. Thanks to Non PASL team Port-Vue for supporting our league and coming out to play and catch-up on old times. Also a shout out to Dave for helping us this weekend.

Metro Sports Wins NSA World Series
Metro Sports won the NSA World Series Women's Class D Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio on Sept. 6th and 7th. They are the reigning USSSA Women's D World Champs and will be going to Florida in 2 weeks to play in the C World Series.
