PDGA Rule book
All leagues will be played according to PDGA rules, unless stated otherwise.

League Guidelines
PAR-TWO Discgolf Leagues
General Guidelines

What:
PAR-TWO discgolf league’s are typically mini seasons and consist of 5 weeks of competition each, plus the players’ meeting on an additional day for novice leagues and an optional banquet is also available. This short season is in consideration of a smaller commitment of your time.

The players’ meeting will be the first week, novice leagues players meetings will also include Discgolf 101, walking the course and handing out player packs. Discgolfers in a novice league may ship the players’ meeting, only if they have played in the league previously and have played the course before. Competition will start on the second
week for novice leagues.

Tee Time:
All leagues will be held on the selected day at their selected time, starting at hole #1.
Rain date: 1st dry weekday, an extension of the season or a cancellation.

Where:
Big Run Park, 4201 Clime Rd, Columbus, OH 43228.
Brent Hambrick Memorial course at Hoover Reservoir.

Cost:
League fees are $20.00 per person covering the prize fund and miscellaneous costs. Due by or on the first week of play.  An additional charge for leagues with a banquet.

Novice leagues will also require the player package will be an additional one-time cost of $12.00 per player and will include the following basic equipment for each player to get started, and it is yours to keep. The player pack is only need to be purchased the first season that you play.

1 Disc of your choice, most are MindLeaders branded ($8.75 value)

1 Discgolf World mini marker disc ($1.50 value)
1 PDGA Discgolf Rulebook ($3.50 value)
1 Discgolf World Catalog – Good source of disc information ($1.00 value)

League Formats: (select one from each category)
One round 18 "holes" which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Mixed Doubles: Each team will consist of one male and one female player.

All Male or All Female: Separate divisions for male and female players. 
(Minimum 8 players per division)

Individual: Males and Females compete in the same division.

Only Throw: Every throw is counted. 

Best Throw: Allows the team decide which of their two throws to accept as their throw and both teammates would throw their next shot from where the "best" disc landed.
Scratch: What you throw is what you score.Handicapped:
Will be 90% of the average of the best half of your last 20 games.


Order of play:
Teams/Player will play the first week by team/player number, subsequent weeks the teams/players will be ranked in order of their score and divided into groups, so that they are throwing with people close to their skill level.

Scoring:
Score will be an accumulation of each week’s strokes for a total strokes for the season, not WON/LOST total. Your worst round will be dropped for the season’s total. (week1 + week2 + week3 + week4 + week5 – worst week = Season Total)

Makeup games:
There will be no makeup games due to the short season and dropping your worst game.

Substitutes:
Due to the short season no substitutes will be permitted, however a team can participate with only one teammate if the other is not available. If a teammate drops out of the league then a replacement can be named. If both team members are not available see make up games.

Awards:
Everyone wins!! Awards may be gift certificates, trophies and discgolf discs.
50% of fund to the top 25%
25% of fund to the next 25%
25% of fund to lower 50%

Most Improved Player/Team
Average of weeks 1, 2 and 3 compared to the average of weeks 3, 4 and 5. Yes, week 3 is included for both. A player or team must compete in the majority of each half of the season. A similar formula will be used for seasons that are longer than 5 weeks.

Weekly Low Team – Presented at the awards banquet (if 10 players/teams or more)

Individual CTP - Closest to the pin.
Big Run– Holes 2, 6, 10, 13, 14 (Disc or mini)
Week 1 - Hole 14, Through the woods – gradual left
Week 2 - Hole 2, down the road – straight then left
Week 3 - Hole 13, Indian mound – straight then right
Week 4 - Hole 6, out to the island – long
Week 5 - Hole 10, Orchard – long gradual right.

If the league completes 4 or more mini seasons, there may be additional awards for the year, based on the top 75% of the mini-seasons. Allowing one season to be missed or dropped from your standings.

Additional Contests/Awards:

Distance Competition
Players competes for maximum distance throws.
Putting Contest
3 rounds, each round costs $1. Each round, you get 3 putts from a short position worth 1 point and/or a long position worth 2 points. Winner wins the ¾ the pot, usually played as a 50/50.
Ace Fund
$1.00 per week and is awarded to who ever gets an ace, or split between all Aces equally. If not won will roll over to next week. If not won one the last day of the season we will have a shoot off.
Deuce Fund
$2.00 per week - awarded to who ever gets a deuce, or split between all deuces equally. If not won will roll over to next week. If not won one the last day of the season we will have a shoot off.
Award Banquet:
At the end of each mini-season there will be an Award Banquet.
