PAA BASEBALL: PAA Rules
Saturday, May 24

PAA Baseball generally follows high school baseball rules.  The PAA exceptions to those rules are included in the Policies & Procedures documents for each PAA age division.  The PAA Policies & Procedures are available on our website.  Copies of the high school baseball Rule Book, as well as several rules aids such as a Case Book, Rules by Topic, Umpires Manual and rules Simplified & Illustrated can be purchased at the National Federation of State High School Associations website at www.nfhs.org or click on the link(s) below.  These resources may also prove valuable for players planning to play baseball in high school and beyond.

Senior Youth: PAA Specific Rules & Policies

These are policies and rules developed specific to PAA.  Any policy or rule listed in this document shall replace and/or take priority over general NFHS baseball rules.  Unless a rule or policy is specifically addressed within this document, the Senior Youth division will follow high school baseball rules as published by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).  However, because it is not possible to anticipate every situation that may arise during the season in which a deviation from NFHS rules may be appropriate for PAA, the league, reserves the right to make changes to its rules, policies and procedures as appropriate at any time.

These are policies and rules developed specific to PAA.  Any policy or rule listed in this document shall replace and/or take priority over general NFHS baseball rules.  Unless a rule or policy is specifically addressed within this document, the Junior Youth division will follow high school baseball rules as published by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).  However, because it is not possible to anticipate every situation that may arise during the season in which a deviation from NFHS rules may be appropriate for PAA, the league, reserves the right to make changes to its rules, policies and procedures as appropriate at any time.

Combined TBall & CoachPitch Divison: PAA Policies & Rules
PAA Coach Pitch (CP) specific rules are listed in this document.  Many of the official NFHS may not be applicable or appropriate to apply to Coach Pitch due to the age and developmental nature of the CP division.  Having said that the operation of the CP division shall utilize the NFHS rules as guidance for the general rules of the game.  Because it is not possible to anticipate every situation that may arise during the season in which clarity from the league is necessary to determine how the NFHS rules used as CP ‘guidance’ should be applied to the CP division, the league, reserves the right to make changes to its rules, policies & procedures as appropriate at any time.
