Owls Win Two In A Row!
Owl Pic33

The Lady Owls earned their first back to back win on Wednesday night, revenging a tough loss and toppling Standish, 3-1.  In another wind blown affair, the Owls got the advantage of the wind at their backs in the second half and used it to score three times, controlling the offense and taking 13 shots on goal.

Standish scored the first goal, at the 55 minute mark, when Megan Jurek scored on a penalty kick.  The Owls evened the score just three minutes later when Tricia blasted a shot at the Panther keeper and the rebound found Rushelle's foot and she put the ball to the net.  Aubrey scored in the 69th minute when she drilled a direct kick through a forest of legs to the corner of the goal.  Oscoda's third tally came when Tricia and Rushelle slipped past the Standish defense and drawing the keeper, Tricia floated a pass to Rushelle for the easy empty netter.  Tricia, the Owl's leading scorer, was credited with two assists in the match.

Heading up the stellar defense was Erika with 6 steals and 8 intercepts.  Katia had 4 steals and 9 intercepts and Aubrey finished with 6 and 4.  Jodie and Margaret both had strong matches on the back line also.  Nicole stopped five shots, getting beaten on the PK.

Osocda is now 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the conference.
