When we began...
When the Wurtsmith Air Force Base closed in 1993, the task of running a local soccer program fell on the shoulders of a small group of parents. We formed teams that Fall and played our games in Alcona but so many kids wanted to play and they just didn't have the space for us. With the help of the school's Community Education Department and an inspired man, Gary Kimsel, these parents ran a fairly successful Indoor Program. They were put in touch with AYSO in the Spring of 1994 and that summer became a Pilot Region. We have not looked back since!

Green Gators Win 2006 Oscoda Cup Tournament
In one of the closest and most exciting Oscoda Cup Tournaments ever, the Oscoda Rotary Green Gators got past the Little Caesar's Cheetahs, 1-0. Jason Bissonette blasted the lone goal of the match to win the Tournament. WAY TO GO GREEN GATORS!!!

Shockwaves Win 2004 Oscoda Cup
The Shockwaves won the 2004 I.T.T. Oscoda Cup Tournament by winning the final match in exciting fashion over the SaberCats, 4-3. Read all about the cup games (and all the other divisional games) on the Oscoda Happenings page!
Diablos Take Third at Section Tourney
The Diablos finished third out of 17 teams from around the state at the Section Eight Tournament in Fenton in July 2003! The Diablos finished the tournament 5-1. The team they lost to finished first. The second place team had lost to the team that the Diablos beat for third place!

Storm Troopers Win 2002 Wiltse's Oscoda Cup
The Storm Troopers won two and tied one to get into the Championship game where they squeezed past the tough Jedi Knights to win the Cup!! Coach Kandi Colborn was proud of her team. They played all day without any subs and according to her, "we did it with teamwork!"

Wildcats Place Second in Tournament!
The Wildcats took Second Place in the 2002 AYSO Section Eight Soccer Tournament! The Wildcats and the U12 Cheetahs both played in the Sterling Heights area over the June 22nd weekend. Read all about it on the News page!

High Kickers Win 2001 Oscoda Cup
Blue Knights Win 2000 Gaylord Invitational Tournament
The Blue Knights U14Boys Travel Team won the 2000 Gaylord Invitational Tournament in thrilling fashion. The Knights were down 3-0 at halftime but regrouped and came out firing. The scored four times in the second half to win 4-3.
Undefeated Tomcats Win the U12 Oscoda Cup for 2000
Tomcats Win the Oscoda Cup!! The Oscoda Tomcats won the U12 Oscoda Cup and remained undefeated on the season. Congratulations, Tomcats!
