Thank you for visiting! Cross Country is a wonderful sport filled with competition, fun, and fellowship. If you have any interest in our program, please feel free to contact Head Coach Jack Preus. Lutheran High School is a school dedicated to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and we strive to be "Guided by His Truth" - Psalm 25:5. Orange Lutheran Cross Country is a program dedicated to communicating the love of Christ to our youth. Here at LHS we have a strong commitment to excellence in athletics and academics. Staci finishes behind 5 outstanding runners from Kenya to finish 6th.  Her time of 18:53 (5k) made her the 4th fastest county runner on the day!

Trinity League Finals:

OLU Girls Varsity wins second consecutive Trinity League championship!

 

League Title is the 16th in team history

Oh My!! Girls score 20 points - put 4 runners in the top five! In one of the largest team victories in history - Team finishes 8-0 in league - advances to CIF for the 22nd consecutive year (1986-2008)!! Team completes regular season as school's fastest in history.  

Team shatters school record team time by almost a minute (92:59)

Senior swept the Trinity League in 2008 - wins her 2nd career cc title (2006).  Staci's time of 18:04 is also a SCHOOL RECORD for the Huntington Beach Central Park course!!

 

OLU Boys finish 2nd - Advance to CIF for the 8th consecutive year

Boys run #2 team time in school history for course - Amazing TEAM race!! Sam Reinhart runs outstanding race to lead the lancers back to CIF.   Three runners earn All-League honors.

Paul completes his first season at OLU by sweeping Trinity League competition.  His surge over the last mile secured the victory!  Nicole runs fastest race of her career to lead lancers to another title!

Team runs on beautiful course in cool, damp conditions - Paul wins his second race in two weeks

Lancers return from trip to Portland

Nike Track
Select OLU boys and girls enjoy a fun and successful trip to Portland for the Nike Pre-Nationals
On Sunday evening, the boys and girls returned from a 3 day trip to Portland where they competed in the Nike Pre-National meet. The meet was held at Portland Meadows race track, and offered a unique course layout that included man-made hills and a combination of dirt and grass. The weather was great, mid-70s for highs and beautiful sunshine. Both the boys and the girls raced in the Jim Danner Championship division, which fielded some of the nation's finest teams. Running on one day rest from their Trinity League races, the teams were very successful. The boys finished 11th and the shorthanded girl's team finished 8th over the 5k course. Congrats to senior Staci Foster for her 10th place finish overall!

OLU wins 3 out of 6 team races at Trinity League Preview Meet!

Girls varsity, Girls JV and Boys JV all sweep at the first Trinity League meet of the season - Boys Varsity, Boys Frosh/Soph and Girls Frosh/Soph finish 2nd!

Orange Lutheran Community Remembers Coach Poncy: Coach, Mentor and Friend

On Tuesday, April 15th, The Lord took our beloved coach and friend Guy Poncy to be with him in eternity. Poncy was a man committed to communicating the Love of Christ. He was compelled by Christ's love, a love that we are surrounded by today. In the hours, days and weeks to come, we will be able to celebrate a man who touched so many lives in the Orange Lutheran community. Poncy ran for HIM, so that others may be with HIM in eternity.

Funeral Services for Coach Poncy will take place at Cornerstone Church, 4905 East La Palma Ave., Anaheim, CA. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd at 1pm.
