The Concession Stand is a major source of funds for OCYFL. In 2007 the Concession Stand volunteer format changed to"blocks of time", rather than the "each week,one-hourbefore the game starts". This format change has been very successful and feedback has been quite positive when compared to pre-2007 format.
Each football team, is expected/required to provide TEN (10) ADULTS per "work period assignment". Though twelve (12) is the preferred number.
Each cheer team will usually have an assigned "work period". It is understood that the number of participants on a cheer team is usually less than that of a football team; the Concession Schedule as determined by the OCYFL is usually adjusted accordingly.
Is is important that all volunteers arrive at their appointed time. A BOARD MEMBER familiar with the Concession process will be there to assist and guide you. Please remember that your Head Coach- football or cheer- may be asked to report to the Concession Stand if the appropriate number of volunteers are not available.
A schedule of volunteers must be turned in by first game to the Concession Stand Manager.
Due to safety issues, children defined as under the age of 18 cannot accompany their parent while they are working in the Concessions Area.
OCYFL asks that if you are volunteering to help in Concessions, please leave your purses, cameras and other personal items in a secure area--such as your own vehicle. Due to lack of space, the Concession Stand and its associated area cannot store these items--this includes "team" goodies such as cakes and cookies.
See your Team Rep to volunteer. Concession Schedule will be posted to site when available.
