Welcome to Octorara Area Little League!
Serving the Octorara Area, our Little League provides baseball for boys and girls from ages 5-16. League Meetings every 3rd Monday of the Month @ Christiana Lions Club Building @ the Ball Field --> the next General Meeting will be Monday, October 19th, 7:00 pm.
SEEKING FIELDS MANAGER
The Board of the OALL is actively seeking a replacement for longtime Fields Manager, Stoney Murtagh. Ideally, we would like to have a Director and 2-3 additional people willing to cut grass one day per week. Please contact OALL President Scott Ray( sray@comcast.net ) if you are interested in being a volunteer and participating in this vital part of the Little League.

Although the Lancaster Barnstormers took only one of two games in a double header against the Maryland Blue Crabs, the District 23 Little League annual awards night at Clipper Magazine Stadium with late night fireworks were still a hit with the many little league players and their families on Saturday night.
The district's dozen Little Leagues recognized their adult volunteers and the players, who were the Good Sports of the Year by presenting awards prior to the evening game on the field. OALL President and Assistant District 23 Administrator Scott Ray helped with the distribution of the awards and honored our local 2009 recipients.

The weather didn't dampen the spirits of Octorara or Cocalio as they played in the Championship Game last night. Octorara scored early and held off Cocalio for several innings; however, in the last inning, as Cocalio battled back, the score ended at 7-6 for Octorara!
Starting pitcher, Matt Carr, did an amazing job keeping the score to only 1 thru several innings; and the closer, Alex Rogers battled in the last inning to end the game on STRIKES!
Everyone played an awesome game/tournament .. we should be PROUD of everyone! We'll see you in Exeter (http://www.exeterlittleleague.org/)!

| 9/10 District 23 Winners! |
Saturday, July 18
Our 11-year old tournament team WON their way thru the entire bracket; however, fell short in the Championship game. They beat every team, even beat the undefeated Solanco (once) to get into the Championship game (against Solanco), but after a rally in the 6th, lost the game.
We should be very PROUD of everyone on the team .. and we WILL see you again NEXT YEAR!
