COACHES AND PLAYERS CLINIC DECEMBER 26, 2009
COACHES AND PLAYERS CLINIC DECEMBER 26, 2009 Come out and join us on Dec 26th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the El Camino softball field. Coach Ron Mizushima, El Camino High School’s Varsity Softball Coach is holding a Coaches and Players Clinic for OGSA. 3 of his former softball players who received Division 1 softball scholarships, Chelsea Troupe, University of Texas of El Paso, Courtney Craig, University of Texas and Jerrin Faasua, University of Washington will be there to assist in the clinic. We will also have information for coaches on how to maximize your practice time with efficient drills for every position. His 12U Winter ball team finished with a 19 and 0 season, winning 1st place in the North County Winter ball Association Championship. He has 18 years of experience and everyone can benefit from this clinic. We hope to see you there!

Parking at Lake
Every season parking becomes more of a challenge and this year it is even more challenging with more games and practices scheduled at Lake Park than ever before. OGSA expects everyone to park legally at all times.
In regards to the parking circle we are asking if you could please refrain from parking there. We need to reserve spots for our Umpires as well as spots for the Snack Bar Directors and the Board Member on Duty. Also please do not park in the red areas as the police will give you a ticket. That is to be left open as a fire lane turnaround for the Fire Trucks in an emergency. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
On Saturdays, there is to be zero parking in front of the closed gate in the Lake Elementary Parking Lot (the one where the driveway leads to Lake Blvd). Teachers use that entrance on weekends and if they are blocked and inconvenienced, we risk losing the great privilege of using their parking lot.
And finally, please lock your vehicles.

Sponsors 2010 Season
Every season, we receive questions regarding the league's use of sponsorship monies. All sponsorship money is deposited in the OGSA general fund to use in operating the league. We expect each team to solicit and gain at least one $500.00 sponsor. The team sponsor each of you solicits is assigned to your team for recognition purposes.
We need thousands of dollars each season to pay for:
| Player Insurance | $2,000.00 |
| Softballs | $2,500.00 |
| Equipment | $4,000.00 |
| Field supplies | $1,000.00 |
| Umpires | $6,000.00 |
| Field Lights* | $15,000.00 |
| Uniforms | $12,000.00 |
| Trophies | $3,000.00 |
| Pictures | $1,500.00 |
| ACE Coaches Clinic | $1,300.00 |
| Field Vehicle - John Deere Gator | $5,200.00 |
| Sponsor Banners | $1,500.00 |
| Total | $55,600.00 |
Registration Fees account for only $27,000.00 of our income.
*The City of Oceanside raised the lights fee by 33% for the coming season. It is critical we get as many sponsors as possible for the upcoming season as soon as possible.
Every team receives or uses secondary insurance, uniforms, pictures, softballs, equipment, field lights, field supplies & every division except Rookies has umpires officiate games. Sponsor money, the Hit-a-Thon fundraiser and snack bar income are vital in covering the additional $28,600.00 in expenses. So you see, the business that generously donates to sponsor your team does directly support you financially with the money going to the general fund. OGSA depends heavily on team and league sponsorships. The more we can get, the better the experience we can provide the girls that play at OGSA.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to another great season!
