Who are we?

The Sports Association of Oakland is an volunteer organization. The Executive Board is made up of 7 voting members all appointed by the Recreation Commission.  These members organize different fundraising events, induct members into the Oakland Sports Hall of Fame and vote to disperse raised funds to Oakland Recreation  causes.  

The Sports Association of Oakland is now in its 51st year.  Funds the SAO has raised and donated have paid for new football helmets, the Oakland playground, the field 9 sprinklers, various scholarships, basketball tournaments and much, much more. If you wish to get involved and help the SAO, please contact any of Executive Board members below.
