OVC Mission Statement
Our mission at Orangevale Volleyball Club is to provide a supportive environment in which young student-athletes are provided training in the skills and techniques of competitive volleyball, while enhancing and developing values that foster leadership in life as well as on the court: responsibility, self-discipline, cooperative teamwork, sportsmanship and an appreciation for health and wellness.
A non-profit organization, OVC works hard to provide this opportunity to as many girls as possible, keeping costs low by utilizing donated practice facilities and volunteers for club administration, but also utilizing the highest caliber coaching staff available. Ours is a family-oriented club, upholding family values on our teams, and encouraging family involvement.
We offer two levels of competition:
Area League, in which a player might expect two 2-hour practices per week, approximately two tournaments per month, and playtime commensurate with effort and commitment as well as with skill and ability.
Power League offers the same number of practices and roughly the same number of tournaments, but more emphasis is placed on these teams placing well in tournaments; therefor in Power league, play time is commensurate more with skills and abilities, with effort and commitment also playing a role.
