The Raiders finish the regular season with a combined 16 wins and 9 losses. Sr. John Kennett in a sterling effort goes 7 innings and finishes the season with 6-4 record 2.35 era. We had the Falcons 2-0 for 4 innings and then in the 5th..they got 5 back. In the top of the 7th we scored 5 more to go ahead. Howell came in and shut them down 1-2-3 on 6 pitches to slam the door. Wednesday, April 4 Fernandina Beach Fighting Pirates 11 - OP JV Raiders 12 The Raiders win a close one!! Raiders were down by 1 in the first but came back in the bottom of the inning to score some runs to make it 2-1. In the 3rd we got some key hits and brought it up 12-3. In the top of 6, Fernandina got some momentum going on some hits and errors - and almost tied the game. With bases loaded and two outs the batter is out on a drop third strike to end the game. Eric Hill started and threw 3 innings, Andrew Denton throws 1/3, Billy Gordon throws 1 2/3, Howell finishes with 1 inning. Monday, April 2 Sandalwood Saints 3 - Orange Park Raiders 1

It just wasn't enough - we left several runners on that would have moved us to a tighter game. Denton started for the Raiders and had 4K's and Pascoe relieves 1/3 inning with 1 K and Howell comes in the bottom of 6 and sets them down with 3 straight K's to end the game. Monday, March 12 OP JV Raiders 7 - Clay High Blue Devils 4 Josh Howell started for the Raiders and goes 6 2/3 inning. Raiders were down at one point 4-1 in the 3rd Inning. Key hits in the 4th inning tie it up for the Raiders 4-4. Raiders go ahead in the top of the 7th. But in the bottom of the inning, Clay has the bases loaded. Thursday, February 8 Raiders cruise into the season
The Orange Park baseball field has seldom looked better. A second row of lights was added in left field, under the Osprey nest. All the other burned out or faulty lights were also replaced. Infield was turned and looked smooth. New coats of paint in the dugouts and some new art work sprinkled around. Raiders have 5 games schedule this week, ending with the Ridgeview Panthers at home on Friday. Check bottom of page for next game details. Click on headline to view more pictures.
