Welcome to the ONU Endurance Multi-Sport Club Site!

Do you enjoy racing or even just the training? Do you need someone to help push you to train harder? Are you an adventurous spirit looking for a unique way to stay in shape? Or just need someone to whom you can remain accountable for your workouts?

Do you enjoy running, biking, and/or swimming? Or enjoy any one or more of them in any combination?

The endurance Multi-Sport Club was created to promote fitness at any ability level through training for and competing in all endurance events such as road races, duathlons, aquathons, triathlons and other multi-sport experiences.

This is THE site for communication related to Club training sessions, competitive and recreational events, and other events related to the endurance multi-sport athlete.

MSC on Facebook
We've had some suggestions to create a page where people can share events throughout the summer, and since more people check Facebook than this website (and you don't need an administrator to post your events on Facebook), we decided to create a group there. Search for "ONU Multi-Sport Club" and click join! Please spread the word and get your friends to join! It would be great to have club representation at some events over the summer!

TRAINING PLANS ARE HERE!

Please check the documents page for 5k, 10k, half, and full marathon training plans! These plans have been updated so that running and cross training days now match up with our group runs and swims. They are further broken down into 6 training groups:

Group 1 – projected current 5k time 19:00. Advanced
Group 2 – projected current 5k time 22:00. Good shape (advanced women)
Group 3 – projected current 5k time 25:00. Intermediate (good women)
Group 4 – projected current 5k time 28:30. Beginning runner, but athletic (intermediate women)
Group 5 – projected current 5k time 32:00. Beginner altogether (Beginning runner women)
Group 6 – projected current 5k time of 35:00. For finishing a 5k, 10k, half. Too late for a full, unless trying to run/walk ultra conservative. Recommended for beginners.

If anyone does not feel that they fall into a group, please contact Zach. He can do workouts for slower or faster groups, or if you have a specific number of weeks you can train.

Individual workout plans for tris will not come out until next season. Visit some of Zach's favorite tri sites to find such plans.

6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m

Saturday
12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

12:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

NOTE: Hours of 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. RESERVED for Varsity Athletic Teams

(EXCEPTIONS: Vacation breaks, holidays, etc. Updated schedules will be posted prior to such occasions)

Fall Quarter Open Swim Hours

For those of you who can't attend the group swims, but would still like to get in the water, here are the open swim hours, beginning Tuesday, September 9th:

Monday-Friday        11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Monday-Thursday    7:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday     1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

If you have trouble remembering turns or just don't like these routes, simply multiply the pace you are supposed to hold by the distance of the run, and you should get a good estimate of how long to run for, as long as you stay on pace.
