GOALS
The goals of our team are very simple - To develop the talents of our players and team to compete for a National Championship in Alabama at the 2008 ASA Nationals. For us, qualifying isnt enough and is only a step towards our goal both individually and as a team. Based on the experience and tested talent of the players, both new to the team and returning, the leadership of the experienced coaching staff, and the supportive Parent Booster Club, we are on our way to achiving this.
To accomplish this, coaches, players and parents must all be on the same page. Honesty, integrity, respect, character and patience are things that we value. We must also have an organization that shares these values. We expect to have bumps in the road. We will not win every game. To get better, you have to have setbacks and things out of our control to learn from. Any championship team will go through this. It is how we react as players, coaches and parents that will set us apart from others. That is the one thing we can control.
Our girls will learn and develop into better players. They will work too hard not to get better. In addition, practicing against and with some of the most talented players in the 12U division will make them better on a day-to-day basis. Practices are focused and do not waste time. We stress fundamentals, communication and repetition.
It is this approach that will help our girls not only in softball but in life.
