Sunday, October 18
Fall League optional for Sunday Oct 18 Due to field conditions.
We have spent all morning trying to get the field in playing shape and it is to wet to try to get on. Due to future forecasts and lack of weather cooperation, this will be the last date for the fall. We will have Phil Britton at the OCC Field at 11:00 and at 1:00 for instruction periods. Phil played AA baseball for the Braves this past season. If you have any question please call Dusty Baker at 618 838 9150. Thanks.

Friday, June 12
Indiana State Sycamore and former Blue Knight Brady Shoemaker was taken in the 19th round of 2009 mlb draft by the Chicago White Sox. Shoemaker was a two time all-american at OCC and garnered MVC honors while at Indiana State. Congratulations to Brady.
Friday, June 12
Freshman Jon Hedges was chosen in the 43rd round of the 2009 mlb draft by the Minnesota Twins. Jon led the nation in rbi's with 97, was top 25 in homeruns with 15 and hit .422. Jon was also named freshman of the year in the GRAC. Congratulations.
Monday, April 6
The Olney Central Blue Knights Baseball team is now 28-8 on the season, (9-4) in conference play. The Knights are currently in second place in conference. To check out the standings in the GRAC, visit www.gracsports.com.

Sunday, February 15
The Olney Central Blue Knights baseball team won a pair of games on thursday and friday to open the 2009 season. The Blue Knights opened up with the University of Cumberland Junior Varsity squad located in Williamsburg, KY. The Blue Knights won the first game by a score of 13-1. Ben Farleigh, Jeremy Sy, and Derek Coverstone all had homeruns to go along with six other hits by the offense. Aaron Newcomb picked up the first win of the season by throwing five innings of 1 hit baseball. Bobby Woods pitched the final two innings striking out five.
The second game of the double header was tied 3-3 after four innings, but an eight run fifth blew the game open for the Knights. Jeremy Sy led the offense with three hits and Jon Hedges added his first home run of the season. Jake Weibel started the game on the mound for OCC going two innings giving up two earned runs. Ryne Pinkston came in relief to get the victory throwing four solid innings giving up two earned runs while striking out three. Jordan Grinestaff pitched the 7th inning striking out two.
The Blue Knights traveled to Barbourville, KY on Friday the 13th to Play Union College's JV squad. OCC won the first game 11-2. The offense racked up 11 runs on 13 hits. Jon Hedges led the way with a home run and two doubles. Jeremy Sy, DJ Henderson, Jensen Painter, and Robbie Payton all added two hits a piece. Travis Kottenbrock notched is first win of the season on the mound by going four strong innings allowing no runs and striking out five. Logan Helms pitched the final three innings of the game giving up two runs on two hits.
The second game took the Blue Knights until the final out to put the game away. OCC trailed 4-2 going into the top of the six where they scored four runs. The Bulldogs answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the six to cut the deficit to one. Both teams scored a run in the final frame giving OCC the win 8-6. Colby Shaw and Jamie Weinle had two hits a piece. Shaw added his first home run of the season. Zach Sterling started on the bump pitching three innings giving up three runs on one hit. Alec Braasch picked up the win by going two innings giving up no earned runs and striking out two. Jordan Grinestaff got his first save of the season throwing the final two frames. Grinestaff struck out four and allowed two unearned runs in his appearance.
Tuesday, February 17
The Blue Knights traveled to Harriman, TN to play a double header on monday. OCC was down to their last out in game one before rallying to score two runs in the top of the 7th to take a 4-3 lead. With two outs in the top of the 7th Jensen Painter started things off with a single to left. Jon Hedges followed with a game tying double down the left field line. Colby Shaw drove in the game winning run with another base knock. Bobby Woods picked up the win for the Knights while Jordan Grinestaff notched his second save of the young season.
The second game was blown open with an seven run fifth. The Blue Knights led 3-2 going into the fifth inning where two errors by Roane State along with 3 walks and two hit batsmen blew the game wide open. Jon Hedges led the offense with two home runs giving him four in the first six games. Jensen Painter picked up the win for the Knights on the mound throwing three innings giving up no earned runs.
The Blue Knights move to 6-0 on the season and will travel to Douglas, GA on thursday for a weekend tournament.
Tuesday, March 24
The OCC Blue Knights opened the conference season with a sweep of the Lakeland Lakers. This past weekend, the Knights won the first game against the Rend Lake Warriors, and then split on saturday to move their conference mark to 2-1. The Blue Knights are currently ranked 16th in the country in Div. 1 JUCO.
