Watson powers Fallsburg
Former OC Crusader Rakkir Watson posted 45 points, five rebounds and four steals to lead fourth-seed and host Fallsburg to a Section 9 Class C quarterfinal win.
“He was able to get to the hoop,' said Fallsburg coach Pete Dworetsky of Watson. “He kind of took over the game. He hit some outside shots. He didn't force it. He took what the defense gave to him.'
The 2012 TOM DOWD MEMORIAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS ARE NOW BEHIND US!
The 2012 Tom Dowd Memorial Basketball Tournaments ended on a great note as the mens division played some awesome basketball after the last tournament games on Sunday night. The entire weekend was fantastic. From the girls weekend to the boys weekend, the tournament included 130 teams on 10 courts in 7 gyms. Each game was officiated by certified referees, and the tournament provided staff to keep the book and clock. Teams were in pools of four or six and all pool winners won large trophies and multi-colored championship shirts.

If you can’t make it over to the High School, you can visit our photographer’s website to view the tournaments photos!

The team also had great success at the Tom Dowd Memorial Tournament. Their last tournament is this weekend in Brewster!
Congratulations to the Crusaders 17U Boys team coached by Kevin Houston. The team continues to turn heads as it travelled to Hamilton College for a college showcase tournanment. The boys went 6-0 and won the tournament and in doing so, turned some college coaches heads in their direction. Good luck to the team, parents and coaches as they head to the Nationals in Orlando next month!

| Crusaders Enjoy the Overnight Tournaments |
Our AAU club is unique in that all of our players are from the same local area, and most attend the same schools. We have no "all-star" teams with the best players from different towns yet we have had great success! From our 11U team winning the Slam Fest I tournament to our local High School Varsity Team winning the NYS Section 9 Class AA basketball championship in 2005. We have great support from our local School Districts, Athletic Directors, Coaches and Parents.
