Irish Baseball Camp

The first Joe Drulis' Fighting Irish Baseball Camp took place July 23-27, 2001. Thirty-two campers experienced drills, guest speakers, and were video-taped during their hitting practice.

Guest speakers included Gary Shunk, assistant baseball coach at Mercer County Community College. John Simone, former pitching coach and head coach at Notre Dame, presently the athletic director at Mercer County Community College and Vince Ardery, NJSIAA Hall of Famer who won 6 state championships while head coach at Notre Dame High School.

Camp director and associate varsity head coach Jerry Wargo along with pitching and assistant varsity coach John Capuano were senior counselors at the camp.

Players who served as junior counselors were: Kevin Drulis, Brian Stuetz, Derek Shunk, Dan Czepiga, and Donnie Petito. Video technician for the camp was Erin Drulis.
