Stefon Jackson Breaks C-USA Scoring Record in UTEP Win.

Jackson, who averages 23.2 points per game, now has 2,035 points as a Miner. His record-setting basket was his first field goal of the second half. The Philadelphia native passed USF's Altron Jackson, who scored 2,017 points for the Bulls from 1998-2002. The two are the only C-USA men's basketball players to reach the 2,000-point mark. Jackson was 17-of-18 from the free throw line and 6-of-13 from the field for his 29 points tonight. He also contributed nine rebounds, four assists and a steal against the Golden Eagles as UTEP improved to 13-8 overall and 4-3 in league play. 

Besides setting the C-USA scoring mark, Jackson became UTEP's all-time leader for field goals made with 670, surpassing Brandon Wolfram's total of 668. Jackson already holds the school standards for career points, free throws made (597), free throws attempted (791) and field goals attempted (1,498).
