North Texas Juniors: NTJ Beach
NTJ BEACH
Beach Volleyball is a sport that is rapidly expanding across the United States. It will become an NCAA sport in 2011 which means more opportunities for college scholarships! NTJ Beach is a wonderful opportunity to improve your ball-handling, speed, agilities, and all-around court awareness.
NTJ is proud to announce that Salah Schnoeneke, who is a current player for The University of North Texas, will be coaching this year. She was our 15’s coach for Club this season and Beach Volleyball is a true passion of hers. She was trained by an AVP Hall-of-Famer and she is very excited to get out on the sand!
We are having a Tryout/Information Meeting on MAY 18, 2009 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Bear Creek Park in Keller (400 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller, TX 76248). All you need to do is register for a summer membership at the North Texas Region Website (www.ntrvolleyball.org). You must have a partner to play Beach. If you do not have a partner, come to tryouts and we will put you with a partner that will compliment your skills.
Practices will be held on Tuesdays. Times will vary depending on how many teams we have. Our Beach Season will run anywhere from 6-8 weeks, depending on how long certain teams play. We will start practices on May 26th.
The cost for Beach is $425. This fee includes uniform (jersey, sunglasses, and beach volleyball), coaching, and administration fees. The first payment of $225 is due the day of the Tryout/Info. Meeting. The final payment of $200 is due June 16th. Tournament fees are not included because each team can pick and choose which tournaments they would like to attend. NTR tournament fees generally run $20-$40 for each team. USA tournament fees generally run $20-$40 for each player.

NTR will also be sanctioning Skyline's Friday Beach Party Series held every Friday beginning May 22, 2009 - July 31, 2009.
