The Cage offers individualized, year round professional baseball and softball instruction. Our staff uses a uniform step-by-step teaching system to encourage positive progress with all of our students. The staff at The Cage includes current and former professional and college players as well as experienced high school coaches. From a beginning youngster, who just put on a glove to a high school ballplayer with dreams of playing professional baseball, each student is treated as an individual. Our goal is to provide every player with a solid foundation. In addition, we want every player to have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. Our instructors are available for individual and group lessons in pitching, hitting and fielding.

Pitching Instruction:

Pitching instructors at The Cage will teach players proper pitching mechanics that will help increase velocity and how to avoid injury. Some of the topics covered include the basics of balance, body control, stride, release point and follow through.

Hitting Instruction:

Hitting instructors at The Cage will teach players how to improve their hitting mechanics. The instructors will teach the finer points of hitting via drills that cover balance, stance, approach, point of contact and follow through.

Fielding Instruction:

Fielding instructors at The Cage will teach players the drills and skills necessary to improve their defensive game. Learn the proper mechanics of the fielding stance, footwork, balance and the importance of using two hands, along with proper throwing techniques, catchers included.

Inishfree Irish Dance

The Inishfree School of Irish Dancing, started in 1985, is under the direction of World Champion dancer, Sean Reagan, T.C.R.G., who has been teaching for over 20 years. The goal of the school is the promotion of Irish Culture, the enjoyment of the art of dance and for some, the perfection of dance for competition.
The school was started by the Reagan family of Long Island, NY. As members of the family moved about, the school expanded to locations in Connecticut, Texas, New Orleans and New Mexico.
   Inishfree NY has many locations on Long Island: Massapequa, Port Jefferson, Selden, Shoreham/Wading River, Sayville, as well as The Bronx and Rockland County.
The dancers perform for fun and entertainment. These performances fund scholarships for our graduating Seniors and also pay the fares of qualified dancers attending major dance Championships that are held throughout the United States, Canada, Scotland, England, and of course, Ireland.
Many of our dancers are Regional and North American Champions. Inishfree has had 1st place winners and many other medalists in all the major overseas competitions including; the World Championships, The Great Britains, the All Ireland Championships, the British Nationals and the All Scotland Championships. In February 2006, 30 Inishfree dancers travelled to Killarney, Ireland to compete in the All Irelands Championships. In April 2006, 20 of our dancers competed in the World Championships in Belfast, Ireland. In July, over 50 dancers were flown to San Diego, California to compete in the North American Championships.
We look forward to continued success at all of these major competitions and local feisanna as well throughout the year.
The Inishfree School sponsors our own Feis in Massapequa, NY each year in February. Over 1000 dancers attend from Long Island, the Tri-state area and other locations in the United States and Canada.

Our Company Story - by the Founder

Td Communications started in 1988 as a part time job after the cabling company I worked for went out of business.

I immediately thought about starting my own cabling company. I asked my brother-in-law, who owned a small communications firm, if he had any additional work he could "sub" out to me to get me started. For the next few months, I did side jobs for him, while I studied for, and passed, the Contractors State License Exam.

I was very enthusiastic as I started to pick up my own accounts. I wanted to do the best work possible for my new customers. I saw an opportunity to fill a huge gap in communications cabling. I knew that I could provide better service, cleaner installations, and more professionalism than what was currently available.

As we grew, we created a new standard in voice and network cabling that included a pleasant visual experience for our customers. We started to find new ways to dress in our cables. We labeled our jacks and patch panels so that they were easier for the customer to read and understand, which included color-coding, a precise labeling system and CAD drawings.

Our primary focus has always been satisfying our customers. We make it our absolute goal to finish every job on time and in a clean, professional manner. We are constantly looking for better ways to serve our clients.

In a recent conversation Mike, our contact at one of our large accounts, informed me that the work we have been doing for them has become their standard nationwide. He went on to thank us for the dedication and hard work we have provided for them in the years past.
