All first year, first semester 9th grade students are academically eligible.
Students must pass 5 out of 6 classes the semester preceding participation.
A student must not have reached his or her 19th birthday prior to May 1st preceding the year of participation.
Students must be "on track" for graduation:
* 10th grade students must have accumulated at least 4 Carnegie units.
* 11th grade students must have accumulated at least 10 Carnegie units.
* 12th grade students must have accumulated at least 12 Carnegie units.
A student has 8 consecutive semesters or 4 consecutive years of eligibility from the date of entry into the 9th grade to be eligible for interscholastic competition.
High school athletics is governed by the Georgia High School Association.
