North Lake Little League is committed to providing a safe, beneficial and fun learning experience for our players. Today Little League style softball, referred to as fastpitch, is the primary type of softball played throughout our Junior and Senior High Schools, Colleges, US Olympic Teams and Professional Softball Teams (www.profastpitch.com).

North Lake Little League is committed to giving every girl age 5-16 an opportunity to play softball at their appropriate age level. As part of a team our goal is to build self-confidence so every player may excel on an individual level while also building a sense of teamwork, community and camaraderie that will stay with and strengthen them throughout life.

North Lake Little League plays an Inter league softball season. We play against: Woodinville | Woodinville west | North Bothell | Northshore | North King County | Richmond

North Lake Little League has many different softball playing levels:

   Normally, the players are divided and assigned to teams based upon their League Age.

Normally, the players are divided and assigned to teams based upon their League Age (Little League defines "League Age" as the age of the player on *December 31st of the previous year. North Lake Little League adheres to this policy). *A new league age determination has gone into effect starting the 2008 season for both baseball and softball. The league age determination date for softball is now December 31st. In the past the league age determination date was July 31st. Since this change would result in many players not being able to move on to another level, there is a one year exemption for players who wish to use it. This means if a player was "league age" 12 last season with a birthday after December 31st, she may select to move up to the 13 year old division this year even though she is officially "league age" 12 again. Or she can select to play as a 12 year old again in the Majors division. This decision is to be made by the parents and players for this season, not the league.
