North Everett Little League: FAQs

Does my family live within the North Everett Little League boundaries?
North Everett Little League Boundaries are defined to the North, West, and East by bodies of water. The Southern boundary line is established as all areas North of 52nd, and all areas East of Evergreen Way from the North side of Madison Ave. Where the Southern boundary line intersects with Glenwood Ave in the Southwest corner, the boundary follows Glennwood North to W. Mukilteo Blvd. The Wester Boundary is established by Possession Sound from the mouth of the Snohomish River in the North, to the Harborview Park neighborhood area including the following streets: Dull PL, Bailey Ave., Holbrook Ave, England Ave, Dover St., and Edgemoor Ln. The Eastern boundary is established by the Snohomish River, as is the Northern boundary.

Where and when can I register?
Please see the calendar for registration dates or print the following handout that includes all relevant registration information. Note that North Everett Little League no longer accepts mail-in registrations. You must register in person. Please see the North Everett Newsletter for "Proof of Age and Residency" requirements.

If our son or daughter lives outside the NELL boundaries, can we still register with NELL?
Little League does have special waiver forms that document the rules for such a request. Waiver claim forms used for players that live outside the boundaries are provided in the handout section of this web site (See Regulation II (d) and Regulation IV (h)). Please review the qualifications on these forms and contact the President immediately if you believe your family member qualifies.

Where can I find the 2008 registration form?
The 2008 registration form can be downloaded from the Handhouts section of this web site. Or, returning players may register using our new online program.

How much does it cost to be on a team?
The cost will vary and depends upon what division your child will play in. Please see the Divisions page of this web site for a detailed breakdown by age. League Age is the age of the player on April 30, 2008.

When do practices begin?
Practices will not begin until after the 1st of March when teams are formed. Once the teams are formed, practices are immediately scheduled by the team's coach. Practices for T-Ball or Coach Pitch are typically 1-2 days per week prior to opening day.

What division will my child be in given their age?
Division play is based on league age, not grade in school. Age charts are available from Little League International at: http://www.littleleague.org/media/age_change_Oct05.asp

What is the Phil Johnson Ballfields rainout phone number?
Determine playability of fields (Rainout phone line 425-257-8650, press 3) after 4:00 PM.

Can I hold my child down in the minors when the child qualifies for the majors (age range of 10-12)?

Yes. When you register your children, there is a box that can be checked if you do not want your child to participate at the Major league level. In this case, the player would still be required to try-out, but would only be evaluated by the Minors coaches during the try-out process.
