2005 - 2006 Season Proves To Be Interesting And Exciting!
Got to say that this season proved to be another exciting league season! Many would say it was even more unpredictable than last year. Checking on the standings weekly tended to present another "surprise" as we watched teams "battle" over league standing positions, especially in the last few weeks of the season--you never knew how things would stand after another episode...I mean, another week of games.

And, this is truly what our league season should be made of. It can be said that while what place a team held in the standings was important, there really was still a "camaraderie" among all teams, and it showed by all the well wishes expressed from a team to another team throughout the season, even if it meant that the result might knock the well wisher's team down a notch in the standings.

On that note, congratulations to all teams in the league. Your achievements are great regardless of where you placed at the end of the season, and each team should be proud of the success and growth it had this season.

Best wishes to Walsh Jesuit in their transition to the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League next year.

Looking forward to another fun season for 2006-2007!
Good luck to all,
Tammy

5:15 PM - Medina vs. Gilmour

02/08/06 - Good Luck To All Teams This Weekend In The Playoffs!!!
Best wishes to all teams in the NCHSHL Playoffs this weekend @ Gilmour! Club teams will still be competing for a spot in the Buckeye Cup, and those teams will be determined after this weekend; the first place team after regular season league games, Medina, gets automatic berth for the Buckeye Cup. There could still be a few surprises with standings after this weekend, and it will be interesting to watch where the remaining teams fall.

Good luck this weekend! The schedule is available by clicking on the games listed at the bottom of this home page.

Next League Meeting Set...
For Tuesday, January 17, 2006, @ 7:00 PM @ Ice Land USA.

A Gentle Reminder To League Teams...
#1 Admission- We consider ourselves to be at the high school level, playing high school-style hockey. High school hockey teams charge admission to their games. Therefore, we should all be charging admission to our games. So please inform your parents to be ready to pay for admission into the games this season.

#2 Bylaws and rules (In the bylaws) which you can read on the website.
    IV. GAME PLAY
       A. RULES
          1. National Federation Rules
          2. OHSAA Boys Ice Hockey Rules
This is in the Federation rule book- On page 18, RULE 2, Section 1, TEAMS: Article 2 sub section A: States All members of a team shall wear identical uniforms relative to the color of helmets ( excluding Goalkeepers ) , jerseys, socks, pants and length of pants. What this means…… Starting on January 1st, 2006 any team/player that is violation of this rule will be subject to being warned, which means that the player may not return to the ice until the violation is rectified. To make it crystal clear- All players must have the same color helmet, socks, jerseys and pants including length of pants. Goalies do not need to same color helmet, but jerseys, SOCKS, pants must be matching. Goalies wearing sweat pants would be in violation. Goalies wearing nothing would be in violation.
