Nippersink Major: Welcome

This is the website for Nippersink Major League Baseball - updated 4/26/11.  The season has begun!!!!!.  Coaches - remember to send an e-mail, text, or phone message with your game results (815-814-3676 or home answer machine 815-678-2262).  Also, if you need to cancel-reschedule a game, we need to get a date arranged with me within 3 days of the original scheduled date.  

The Calendar Icon will show you all the games that take place each day. Because we have games between divisions this will be the best place to see when your team is playing.

 Managers - two reminders:  Games are suppose to be 5 innings minimum to be a complete game - the 1 hr 45 min time guideline is primarily meant to keep back to back games on schedule.  If you have a close "divisional" game going and you haven't completed 5 innings at the 1 hr 45 minute mark, you should keep playing or schedule a time to finish the game.

Umpires - please remember to "relax" concerning umpire performance.  I am getting more feedback than desired on unacceptable manager - coach behaviour.  There is no such thing as a perfect umpire and keep in mind, this is "recreational" baseball - its not the end of the world if a call is missed or a rule interpretation is wrong.  Keep the situation positive and create an atmosphere where everyone learns, especially the kids learning respect for the umpire and the tough job they have to do.
