The New York Little League District Administrators voted to change the New York Little League Sectional structure from four Sections to six Sections beginning in 2009. District 13 will become part of Section 3 which will include Districts 11 through 16. This means that six teams will now participate in the New York State Little League tournament. The State tounament format will change to a two-division round robin format with three Secion champs in each division. The two division winners will play one game for the New York State Championship. There will also be a cross-over game for the four teams that do not make the championship game. Each participant will be guarenteed three games unless weather forces the cancellation of the cross-over games.
