Newtown Edgmont Little League, located in Newtown Square, PA. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization serving the Newtown and Edgmont Townships. NELL provides the opportunity for boys and girls ages 5 through 12 to play baseball in recreational and tournament levels of play.

Late Registration February 18th and 25th

If you missed the walk-in registration, it's not too late.  We will have late registration available on Saturday Feb. 18 and Saturday Feb. 25 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, during player evaluations at the Flanigan Center.

Late Registration for the Spring 2012 NELL season will be available on:
  • Saturday February 18 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Saturday February 25 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Newtown Edgmont Little League

Eligibility:
Children living within the boundaries of Newtown and Edgmont Townships who will be 5 years old by April 30, 2012 and who will not be 13 years old before May 1, 2012 are eligible to register. All players must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Needed for Registration:

  • All new players must present a birth certificate at registration.
  • All players, including returning players, must provide the name and phone number of a person to contact in case of an emergency.

Cost: 
The cost is $50 for each player in the T-Ball & Rookie Divisions (5 and 6 year olds); $85 for each player in the Farm, Minor C, Minor B, Minor A and Majors Divisions (7 to 12 year olds). The maximum fee per family is $170. The fee covers registration, team and individual picture, uniform, and all League activities during the regular season.

Challenger Division:
The League offers a Challenger Division for mentally and/or physically challenged children from the age of six through eighteen. Level of play is based upon player’s size, age, and skill where numbers allow. Participants will be assisted by volunteer “Buddies” in one of three levels: Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, or Player Pitch. A $20 per player registration fee is suggested. Fee waiver is available based on financial need. To register for the Challenger Division, please call Maureen Catania at (610) 353-8698.

Thursday, January 12
Open Sessions at the Flanigan Center

Starting this Sunday, through Feb 12,  we will be holding open workouts for all NELL 11 and 12 year olds from 12:00pm to 2:00pm,  All are welcome to attend.  This is a great opportunity to get some baseball in as we start preparing for the 2012 season.

  • When: Sundays, Jan. 22nd, Jan. 29th, Feb. 12
  • Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm
  • Who: All rising NELL 11 and 12 year olds
Also, on the Saturday, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, and Feb. 11, there will be open workouts for the 9 and 10 year olds from 12:00 to 3:00pm.  Again, all NELL players in the age group are welcome to attend.
