Newton South Little League: NSLL 2012 Divisions
The Majors are offered to all children LL ages 9-12 living within the NSLL boundaries (Countryside, Angier, or Zervas school district). LL age 12 year olds will play the this level unless otherwise requested so long as the player attends tryouts.
The Majors is a competitive league. Children playing in the Majors must attend tryouts. Once drafted by a team, they remain in the Majors for the balance of their Little League careers.
AAA
AAA-Ball is offered to all children LL ages 9-12 living within the NSLL boundaries (Countryside, Angier, or Zervas school district). LL age 12 year olds may choose to play at this level with a waiver given by the Player Agent, please contact them with your request. LL age 12 year olds are not eligible to pitch in AAA-Ball.
AAA-Ball is a league for more senior and skilled players who were not drafted into the Majors, and is designed to offer a competitive experience comparable to the Majors. It will typically consist of 10-11 year-olds and the most skilled 9 year olds who will be selected by draft that were not drafted into the Majors.
All players who intend to play at this level must attend tryouts.
AA
AA-Ball is offered to all children LL ages 8-9 living within the NSLL boundaries (Countryside, Angier, or Zervas school district).
AA-Ball is a developmental league where we introduce live pitching by players for the first time.
A
A-Ball is offered to all children LL ages 6-8 living within the NSLL boundaries (Countryside, Angier, or Zervas school district). LL age 6 year olds must have completed at least 1 season of T-Ball to be eligible.
The A-Ball division is a coach pitch developmental and skill instructional league.
